External requests in the clear (no Tor)

When a service has no local server on your node, requests go out over Tor by default so your IP is never revealed. Enable this only if you accept making those external requests in the clear (revealing your IP).

Stablecoin verification (external)

Off by default. When on, you can verify a specific stablecoin transaction on demand against an external explorer (Liquid/Ethereum). Your balances always stay manual — this never changes them. When off, no on-chain stablecoin verification is done.

Advanced: Mainnet

You are on Testnet (a practice network). Switching to Mainnet makes the app track real funds and query real on-chain data. For students who know what they are doing.

For private mainnet use, we encourage you to run your own node and install LendingFolio on it from Semilla Bitcoin's community app store in Umbrel. That way your on-chain lookups go out through your own node and Tor, without revealing your addresses to third parties.

Installing runs it locally on your device (your data already lives only in your browser; installing also makes it work offline and stops re-fetching the site from our server each time):

iPhone/iPad: open in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen".
Android: open in Chrome, tap the menu, then "Install app".
Desktop: in Chrome/Edge, use the install icon in the address bar.

Note: we never receive your portfolio data — on the web or installed, it lives only in your browser. What does affect privacy is querying the chain (balances, dates): those requests reveal your addresses to third-party explorers (mempool, etc.), both on web and as a PWA. To avoid it: use your own node.
